The school follows the ICSE (Indian Schools Certificate Examination) pattern of teaching awarding the ICSE (Xth) and ISC (XIIth) certificates to its students. The school lays emphasis on overall education of the student, striving to make the students gain a versatile personality rooted in good ethics and value system.
The interest in the field of education is not only confined to children but to the teaching faculty as well. Our staff regularly organizes workshops and seminars as well as attending the same in other schools. They are also exposed to the latest methods of teaching and have recently been trained by the internationally acclaimed company “Intel”. Besides this,”N.I.I.T”, the world leaders in information technology has in collaboration with the school set up a state of the art computer laboratory. In 1998 an innovative step was taken by introducing the first mixed staff Inter-school basketball tournament. In addition to formal edcation students are made aware and responsible for the environment and its conservation. The school is a part of “Kids for Tigers” project. They are also trained in the fine art with a lot of emphasis on cultural activities like debating, dramatics, theatre, elocution, quizzes, singing, dance etc. No denomination is followed or observed in the school and due importance is given to all faiths. A new chapter in the history of Carman school began in December 2001 when the school started an overseas adult education program, specializing in spoken and written English.
We are receiving many teachers from Thailand who come from the assumption college group, a group that runs over fifteen Schools and Universities in Thailand.
Future Vision
With the ever charging world as its doorstep the school is also open to new ideas and concepts. Hence a combination of audio visual and computer aided teaching coupled with the traditional way of class room teaching is being practiced. Children are also trained in the art of public speaking and being good citizens.
