This year, the 26th Carbery Memorial Sub-Junior Football Tournament began on the grounds of St. Jude’s school with 33 teams participating in it.
The Final match was played on the 14th of August between the Tibetan Homes School, winner of the last year’s tournament, and Wynberg Allen School, Mussoorie.
In the mostly one-sided match, Tibetan Homes dominated right from the beginning, not letting the rival team play comfortably. Pema Thondup, from Tibetan Homes scored two goals, one in each half and helped his school lift this year’s trophy also.
The trophy was presented by the Chief Guest, Philip Barret, Deputy Head Master.
