The Final match was played on the 14th of August between the Tibetan Homes School, winner of the last year’s tournament, and Wynberg Allen School, Mussoorie.

In the mostly one-sided match, Tibetan Homes dominated right from the beginning, not letting the rival team play comfortably. Pema Thondup, from Tibetan Homes scored two goals, one in each half and helped his school lift this year’s trophy also.

The trophy was presented by the Chief Guest, Philip Barret, Deputy Head Master.

Spectators saw a close contest, as both the teams had prepared well for finals. Carman school took an early lead in the match when one of its forwards converted the scoring opportunity into a goal, helping his team take an early lead in the match.

It was a hard chase for Mussoorie Modern School, who managed an equalizer with great difficulty. In the end Carman School triumphed over Mussoorie Model in a penalty shootout.

This is the first time Carman School has won this tournament; previous year the team had reached the quarterfinal stage.

The tournament is going on for the last twenty four years and has grown in popularity in schools. This year around 44 teams had participated in the tournament.

CLASSES NURSERY TO CLASS II WILL GET THEIR SCHOOL BAG (FREE) FROM THE SCHOOL.

Primary & Junior School sports were held during the second week of February. The theme of the sports this year was ‘Environment’. Children dressed in various outfits led the parade. The function began with the Primary school parade. The flowers and the bees were led by Jaanvi Panwar and Andrew Howard of class Nursery. KG-A send forth a message to ‘Save Endangered Animals’ and were led by Jaidev Kapur. Quba Hasan & Akshita Negi led the class of KG-B said ‘No to Plastics’. Class I-A brought the message of ‘Be Kind to Animals’ led by Chavi Talwar. Class I-B gave the message of ‘Plant more Trees’ led by Aditya Banjwan. Nidhi Maithani led Class 2-A saying ‘Please stop cutting Trees and save them’. While 2-B gave the motto “Keep our Country/State/Neighbourhood clean” led by Serena Mann and Vanshraj Gujral.

The first race was of Nursery class. Their message was – Bees sip nectar from flowers to make honey and hum their thanks when they leave. Hope is the only Bee which makes honey without flowers.

The race by KG-A lent their little hands to save & protect endangered species so that future generations can experience their presence and value. Stop poaching and hunting animals was their motto.

Thereafter, the Inter House Drill competition for the Junior section took place. The first to start was the Emmanuel House, led by Roshni Nagwal. The second House in the Drill competition was Doris House, led by Himanshi Aggarwal. Aubrey House undertookthe third Drill competion led by Shivangi Sharma. The final House in the Drill competition was Ivy House led by team leader Tanmaya Dixit.

The following prizes were distributed by the distinguished Cheif Guest, Mr. Sayed Haroon Ahmed.

Entrance  Examination :- Sunday, the 7th of February, 2010 at 9:00 a.m.

The school will celebrate its Annual Prize Day on the 14th of May, just before the school closes for summer vacations.
