Founding History

Mr. I.L.G. Mann & Mrs. Jennifer Mann

The journey of Carman School began on East Canal Road at Nabha House, founded by visionary educators Mr. I.L.G. Mann and Mrs. Jennifer Mann (née Carbery). The name CARMAN was born as a unique amalgamation of their surnames.

As passionate former teachers, the founders built the institution on the foundation of holistic education—nurturing strong academics alongside character and leadership. Mr. Mann, an accomplished athlete himself, instilled a deep-rooted sports culture, ensuring students excelled both in the classroom and on the field. To accommodate its steady growth, the school shifted to its permanent home in Dalanwala in 1990.

Carrying Forward The Legacy

Today, this glorious legacy is proudly carried forward by their son, Mr. G.I.G. Mann, and his wife, Mrs. Susan Mann.

Over six decades later, Carman School Dalanwala continues to stand as a premier institution dedicated to discipline, values, and all-round student development, empowering generations of Carmanians to reach greater height keeping in mind our motto “Perseverance is Success”.
