Lt Payal Gupta is a proud alumna of Carman School (1994-2008). As part of an all-women team of 6 Indian Navy officers, she circumnavigated the globe on a 17-meter sail boat (INSV Tarini) during the historic Navika Sagar Parikrama expedition.

The team spent 254 days at sea covering over 21,600 nautical miles powered solely by wind energy. They became the first all-women team in Asia to achieve this feat, promoting ocean sailing, renewable energy, and women empowerment globally.
